The IRB is the world governing and Law making body for the Game of Rugby Union.
USA Rugby is the National Governing Body for the sport of rugby in the United States.
Rugby Super League is organized and sanctioned by USA Rugby as the Premier Level of Men's Club competition in the USA.
USA Rugby is organized into 8 Territorial Unions (TU's), the TU's administer leagues and provide 3 members to the USA Rugby Congress. Charlotte Rugby is currently a member of the Mid Atlantic Rugby Football Union (MARFU), but is geographically located in USA Rugby South (USARS) territory.
| North Carolina Rugby Union The TU's are composed of Local Area Unions (LAU's) and in some cases individual clubs. Charlotte Rugby is affiliated with both the Virginia Rugby Union and the North Carolina Rugby Union.
